Like a kid in a candy store, walking into Grace in the Kitchen is like stepping into the Disneyland for home cooking enthusiasts. A specialty grocer and housewares shop, co-owners Rob Olafson and Bert Plomer pride themselves on the widely popular business they have built over the last 12 years.
It starts with the perfected art of a truly relaxed shopping experience. A shop within a shop, Cafe 422 Coffee Bar serves espresso, lattes or fine teas to customers as they peruse the aisles. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a fine selection of baked goods, including gluten free treats, all made in-house.
Store shelves are lined with the finest gourmet foods to make any foodie swoon. But, take that a step further. Nestled within is their very own cheese shop, Serious Cheese, showcasing the world’s finest selections and accompaniments. Sampling encouraged.
All of that said, what this Grace in the Kitchen is most known for are knives.
Many of their customers liken the knife buying experience with them to the Wand Shop in Harry Potter. No one knife is perfect for everyone, but they’ll help you find the best fit for you.
Grace in the Kitchen has been a purveyor of WÜSTHOF for over 8 years and are proud to say our products were the very first kitchenware line they brought into the store.
In-store events also keep the store’s traffic buzzing. Coming up in the month of October, Grace in the Kitchen will be hosting a Wine & Cheese Pairing event, a Beer & Cheese Pairing event, as well as a Stone Knife Sharpening Workshop.
