The old adage of time flies as you get older is so true… or is it that we just have so much more fun? I certainly like to think the latter is true as lots of fun was had in 2014 by WÜSTHOF Canada.
It began with the celebration of our 200th anniversary, which we supported with more consumer driven events, giveaways and promotions than ever. My personal highlight was the 12 Days of WÜSTHOF Holiday Giveaway where we gifted 12 Limited Edition 200th Anniversary Commemorative 6" Cook's Knives signed by Harald & Viola Wüsthof in the 12 days leading up to Christmas. The enthusiasm from the participants was overwhelmingly passionate. The positive and heart-warming feedback from our winners tells us that we’re doing the right thing and that we’re on the road to continuing to earn your trust for years to come. Thank you.
2014 also saw WÜSTHOF partnering with more cooking shows than ever! To us, it is always important to hand select unique shows for the message they send, the enthusiasm the participants show for cooking, and the sustainability of where ingredients used are grown and sourced. Keep an eye out for Wild for the Weekend with Chef Garry Steel, currently filming in British Columbia. The sustainability theme of Garry’s show very much parallels our steel story. Our knives are designed to last your lifetime, and beyond, with proper care. However, should they ever be retired, they ARE fully recyclable. Speaking of knife recycling, keep an eye out for upcoming trade in promotions in 2015.
Did you see WÜSTHOF on your TV screens recently? If so, we’d love to hear about it in the comments section below.
We look forward to growing our digital and personal interaction with you this year. Be sure to LIKE us on our Facebook page, FOLLOW us on Twitter and keep checking our blog for new contributors, introduction of new products and of course, giveaways where you’ll have the opportunity to get your hands on some fantastic knives. We encourage your contribution on all our social media so please share your thoughts and feedback with us often. You are always top-of-mind when we make our knives.
Stay sharp Canada,
